The View Alone Is Worth A Million...
... but I'll let you have it for far less and I'll throw in three or six acres of land and a beautiful house from which to enjoy all that glory. Welcome to my house Above is the view from my living room window. It's the most dramatic section of a complete, beautiful 360 degrees horizon visible from my windows. This is a special place, a temple between heaven and earth, perfectly positioned for one of the grand views of this planet and the spectacle of the moon, the planets and the stars through the seasons.
The house was planned and built 2004 and I moved in at the end of January 2005. It is 1156 sqft, with an open floor plan, one bedroom and one bath. There is plumbing in a second but unfinished bathroom that's currently used for storage. A part of the living room/studio combo could easily be walled off for an additional master bedroom with a private bathroom. It was planned like that. The house sits on 6.18 acres of sagebrush covered land that slopes away from the house in the direction of the grandest views. About an acre nearest the house has been carefully cleared from the sage and restored to the original grassland. Much of the immediate neighborhood is protected by covenants and the positioning protects almost all of the 360 degree horizon forever. The lot can be split into two three acre parcels and allows for the building of another residence. I can do the split myself and sell the house on just 3 acres. The house is both actively and passively solar and is very energy efficient through its tight construction and good insulation. The place has a unique, simple design with clear lines and a lot of light. It is in the south of Taos valley, facing gorgeous Taos Mountain in the north-east. Despite it's seclusion, the center of town is just 10 minutes away. This is one of a kind. |
